Annapoorna Fashion

We are located at 103-106 Devangapet Street No. 1. Having several units next to each other helps because we have so much fabric and inventory to store. Annapoorna Fashion is right in the middle of a very busy textile hub. The street is always packed with people carrying bundles of cloth on their shoulders or on motorcycles. Inside our units, it is a bit of a chaotic scene with piles of garments and cutting tables everywhere. We don't have a lot of space for walking around, so you have to be careful where you step. The ceiling fans work hard to keep the air moving but it still gets quite warm when all the workers are here in the afternoon. We mostly spend our time checking seams and making sure the colors match up before things go out. It’s not a polished boutique with mirrors and soft lighting. It’s a production house where things get made. We’ve been on this street for years and we’ve seen shops come and go. Our routine is pretty much the same every day. We start early, check the orders, and get the machines going. Sometimes the thread breaks or the needles snap and we have to pause everything. We usually eat our lunch together in the small space between the racks of clothes. It’s a lived-in kind of place. We don’t have any fancy signs out front, just the numbers on the door. It’s about the work we do with our hands.
