Annai Stores

Annai Stores is easy to find because we are right at No 40 Kalangal Road in Sulur, directly opposite the bus stand. Having the bus stand right there means there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking, which we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Our shop is a busy little place. Since commuters are always rushing for their bus, they often pop in for something quick. The floor is made of old tile and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic. We have various racks and bins filled with all the usual household items. It’s not a fancy setup with air conditioning or anything; we just have a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. Sometimes we run out of things faster than we expect, especially when the buses are particularly full. We do our best to keep the shelves filled up, but occasionally there’s a gap or two. The counter is wooden and a bit scratched up from years of use. We don’t have a marketing team or a polished image. It’s just us working here, talking to the regulars and keeping an eye on the street. It gets dusty with all the buses pulling in and out, so we are always wiping things down. It’s a practical kind of place for people on the move or living nearby in the Sulur area.
