Ambika Cotton Mills Limited

Down on Valluvar Street in Sivanandha Colony, our mill has been a part of the local scenery for a long time. The building at number 15 isn't modern, but it has thick walls that keep things a bit cooler than the street outside. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the sound of the machines and that specific smell of raw cotton that sticks to your clothes. It’s a busy neighborhood with small houses and a few other local businesses, so there are always people walking past the gates. We have workers who have been with us for twenty years, and they know every quirk of the machinery better than the manuals do. The floors are worn down in the places where people walk the most, and the windows are high up to let in the light. We don't have a fancy board room; our meetings usually happen standing up near the production floor or sitting on some stools in the break area. It’s the kind of place where things are done the way they’ve always been done because it works. We handle the bales, monitor the spinning, and make sure the bags are loaded correctly. There’s no marketing team here, just a group of people making sure the cotton gets processed day in and day out without much fuss.
