Tiger Martial Art Academy

Our academy is located in the Kamal Ji Baid underground area on Bhairo Ji Ka Than Road. Being downstairs keeps the place a bit cooler during those hot Churu summers, which is good because everyone is moving around a lot. We have mats spread across most of the floor, though they are getting a bit worn at the edges now. You can usually hear the sounds of feet hitting the ground or someone shouting instructions from the street level if the door is open. People from around Ratangarh come here in the evenings after they finish work or school. We don't have fancy air conditioning or bright lights, just some basic tubes and fans that hum while we practice. There is a corner where everyone leaves their shoes and water bottles in a pile. It is not a very large space, but it is enough for the drills and the sparring we do. Sometimes it smells a bit like sweat and old gear, but that is expected in a martial arts gym. We spend time on the basics, repeating the same kicks and punches until they look right to the instructor. Most of the students have been coming for months, so they know where everything is kept. It is a straightforward place for people who want to learn how to defend themselves or just get some exercise. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some posters and the occasional trophy on a shelf. It is a practical spot for training.
