Sidharth Baal Mandir School

We are tucked away in Salvi Mohalla, over in Gangrar, Chittorgarh. Sidharth Baal Mandir School has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. It’s a modest setup, just a few rooms where the local kids gather. Being in a place like Gangrar, everyone knows everyone else, so the school feels a bit like a community center sometimes. We don't have a big playground, but the kids find ways to stay busy in the space we have. The floors are stone and stay cool during the hot Rajasthan summers, which is a help. We don't use any fancy technology; it's mostly just chalkboards and textbooks around here. Our staff are people from the neighborhood who care about the kids. We aren't trying to compete with the big city schools. We just provide a place for the children in Salvi Mohalla to get their basic education. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains hard, but we fix it up when we can. It’s a very grounded, simple life at the school. We don't have a lot of rules about uniforms or anything too strict; we just want the kids to come and learn. It is a very practical, local school that fits right into the daily life of this part of Chittorgarh. Most days, you will see a few parents standing outside the gate chatting while they wait for the final bell to ring in the afternoon.
