Tirumala Engineering Works

You can find Tirumala Engineering Works at 345, right near the check post at G N T Centre. It’s a place where there is always the sound of grinding metal or the bright flash of a welding torch. We do a lot of custom fabrication and repairs for local businesses and farmers. The workshop is open to the air mostly, which helps with the fumes, but it means we get the dust from the G N T Centre traffic. We have various pieces of heavy machinery, some of which are quite old but they still work fine for what we need. It’s not the cleanest place in the world; there are metal shavings on the floor and scraps of iron in the corners. We usually have a few projects going on at once, so there are half-finished frames leaning against the walls. People stop by the check post and sometimes drop in because they need something welded real quick. We don't really do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people just knowing we are here near the center. It’s physical, tough work and the sparks can be a bit much if you aren't wearing the right gear. We just take the orders as they come and try to get the measurements right. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, just keeping things moving for the locals.
