Sri Ganesh Bricks

If you head over to Ward-1 in Punepally, you’ll find us right near the bus stop. Sri Ganesh Bricks is just a small operation we run out of this spot. We spend most of our time out in the sun, making sure the bricks are drying properly before they go into the kiln. It gets pretty dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up, but that’s expected when you’re working with earth all day long. We have a few guys who help with the loading, and we try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long for their order. We aren't doing anything fancy, just making the basic red bricks people use for building stuff. Sometimes the machines act up or the weather doesn't cooperate, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It's a bit of a messy business, to be honest. You’ll see the piles of bricks from the road as you come into Punepally. We don't spend much time on paperwork or sitting behind a desk. Most of the day is spent checking the quality of the clay or talking to the drivers who come to pick up loads. It’s a local thing, and most people around here know where to find us. We just keep doing what we do every day, making sure there’s enough for the next truck that shows up at our gate. It keeps us busy and out of trouble, I suppose.
