At South Asian Agro Industries Ltd. in Tirupati, we don't really go for anything fancy. Our office is out toward the edge of the Ho district, and it’s a very practical space. Since we work in the agro sector, there’s usually a bit of dirt or dust around, and we don't mind it. It shows we’re actually working. We have a couple of large tables where we sort through things and a small area where we keep our records. Most of our day is spent talking to people from the nearby villages or checking on local supplies. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit and tie. We’re usually in plain clothes that can handle a bit of wear and tear. The building itself is older, and the windows don't always close all the way, but it keeps the rain out. We’ve been part of the Tirupati community for a long time. We don't have any big corporate goals or missions. We just try to be helpful to the people who come to us and make sure the business stays on its feet. Sometimes the work is hard and the hours are long, but we’re used to it. We take our breaks together and talk about mundane things like the price of vegetables or the latest rain. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day for all of us here.
