Modern Engineering Works

We’ve been here in Madanapalle for a good while now, right on Kommunuru Road near the Sai Baba Mandir. People usually find us by looking for the temple first. Modern Engineering Works started out small. We mostly deal with mechanical parts and repairs. It is a busy spot in Bathini Konda. My dad started this place years ago and I just kept it going because it’s what I know. We don't have a big office or anything fancy. It is mostly grease, tools, and the sound of machines running all day. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside when it’s windy, but that is just how it is. We spend most of our days fixing things that people bring in. If something is broken, we look at it and see what can be done. There is no secret to what we do here. It is just hard work and getting the measurements right. We have a few guys who have worked here for a decade. They know their way around a lathe better than anyone else I know. Madanapalle is a quiet town but work keeps us moving. We don't spend much time on the computer or making websites. Most people just walk in through the door because they heard about us from a neighbor. We keep the doors open early in the morning. It gets hot in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy lifting done before noon.
