Dt Engineering Works

We are based at 45, Kyadagi, on the Ramachandrapuram Road. It is a simple place, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Dt Engineering Works is where we spend the bulk of our time, usually starting early before the sun gets too hot. Ramachandrapuram Road is a busy stretch, so there is always a lot of dust drifting into the shop. We have our tools spread out across the benches and sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact wrench we need. The building is older and has its quirks, like the door that sticks in the winter and the leaky roof we have to patch every now and then. We don't have a big corporate structure here. It is just a few of us doing the engineering work and making sure everything is measured correctly. We often eat our lunch together on the back steps just to have a bit of quiet. The work is physically demanding and by the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired and dirty. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most people find us because they know we are here on the road and have been for a while. It’s a practical life, working with our hands and making sure the machines are maintained. We just take it one day at a time and try to do a decent job without any drama or complicated overhead.
