We are based out in Kalamanaidupeta Village, which is part of the Sathyavedu Post and Mandal in the Chittoor District. It is quite a way out from the big cities, but that’s where the real work happens for us. Being in Andhra Pradesh, we deal with a lot of heat and dust, especially when the trucks are moving in and out of the village all day. Our facility here is a big part of the local landscape. Many people from the surrounding areas work with us, so it feels like a big family most of the day. We deal with saws and steel, and the sounds of the machinery are pretty much the soundtrack to our lives. It’s not a place for suits and ties or fancy shoes. Most of us are in work clothes, getting our hands dirty and making sure the production stays on track. The village life outside is slow, but inside our gates, it’s a completely different story. We have to keep things moving to meet the schedules we have. Sometimes the power goes out or the heavy rain makes the roads muddy and difficult, but we just deal with it as it comes. There isn't any fancy corporate talk here in the office. We just speak plainly about what needs to be cut or shipped next. It’s a basic, hard-working environment where everyone knows their role and just gets on with it. We've been here for years and we know the land well.
