Our I O C L station sits right on Gudiyatham Road in Yadamari Village. It’s a spot where a lot of trucks and tractors pull in throughout the day and night. Being in the Mandal area means we see a lot of the same faces from the local farms and some folks just passing through on long trips. We mostly just focus on keeping the pumps running and making sure there is enough fuel for everyone who stops. The sun gets pretty hot out here on the road, so we have a bit of shade for the staff. It isn't a huge operation with a bunch of fancy extras. It is mostly just about the fuel and making sure people can get back on their way without much delay. We deal with the usual stuff like broken air hoses or waiting for the tanker to show up and refill the underground tanks. The crew here knows most of the regular drivers by name. We spend a lot of time outside in the dust and heat. Sometimes things get a bit backed up when a line of trucks shows up at once, but we just handle them one by one. There isn't much else around this part of the road for a few miles, so we know it’s important to stay open and ready. We keep the place tidy as best as we can given all the dirt from the road.
