Hari Rice Mill

Hari Rice Mill is located over at 58-2-11 in Pakala, Kothasanambatla. We have been working out of this building for quite some time now, and it has become a second home to those of us who show up every morning. The mill itself isn't much to look at from the outside, just a practical space where the machines do the heavy lifting. It gets pretty loud once the hullers start spinning, and you have to yell a bit to be heard over the noise. We spend our days moving heavy sacks of paddy around and making sure the grain is processed properly before it heads out. The air in Kothasanambatla can get thick with the smell of toasted husks, which is something you just get used to after a week on the job. Our floor is usually covered in a thin layer of fine dust, no matter how many times we try to sweep it out. People from around the area know where we are, right there on the corner where the trucks turn in. We don't have a big sign or any fancy lights, just the 58-2-11 address painted on the wall. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait for it to come back, drinking tea and watching the traffic go by on the main road. It is just basic work, day in and day out, making sure the local supply is handled without too much fuss or trouble for anyone involved.
