Sri Raghavendra College Of Education is based in Malladihalli, which is a quiet spot in Chitradurga. We’ve been operating here for several years now. It’s a place for those who are serious about getting into the teaching profession. The building is simple, with high ceilings to keep it cool during the hot Karnataka summers. We have a lot of greenery around the campus, which makes it feel a bit more peaceful than the town center. The students usually arrive early, some by bus and others on their own bikes. I spend my days making sure the schedules are followed and the classrooms are ready. We don't go in for anything too fancy or modern. The benches are solid wood and the blackboards are the old-fashioned kind. It works for us. Malladihalli is a small place, so everyone knows where the college is. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. Sometimes we have small events in the main hall, but mostly it's just lectures and studying. The office is often cluttered with stacks of paper and registers. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a lot to manage. It’s just a regular college where people come to get their degrees and move on to their careers. We’re just glad to be a part of this community in Chitradurga. The days go by fast when you’re busy with all the student paperwork and classes.
