Jai Bharath Masala

Jai Bharath Masala is located at 2-17/64 in the Bt Layout area of Mandipet. It’s a place where we spend most of our hours dealing with different kinds of spices. You can usually smell what we are working on before you even walk through the door. It’s not a huge operation, just a steady one that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Mandipet is a place with a lot of movement, and we are right in the middle of it. The shop has shelves lined with bags and containers, and we spend a lot of time weighing things out and packing them up. Sometimes the dust from the spices makes you sneeze, but you get used to it after a few days. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the front. People from the layout come by often to pick up what they need for their cooking at home. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. We drink tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. The street outside is narrow so it gets crowded when the delivery trucks come by to drop off new stock. We just keep things moving and try to make sure everything is sorted out correctly. It’s hard work but it’s what we do here in Mandipet. We’ve been at it for a while and we plan to stay for a lot longer.
