Hotel

Our hotel is located up in Chikmagalur, right in the heart of Karnataka. It is run by the family, specifically the son of Gopal Gowda K P. This is not one of those big luxury resorts you see in the glossy magazines. It is a much more humble place. We have a few rooms for travelers who are coming through the area to see the hills or the coffee plantations. The building is simple and we try to keep it clean and comfortable. We do not have a massive staff, just a few of us who do everything from cleaning to checking people in. It can be a bit quiet during the off-season, which is actually quite nice. We spend our time fixing things around the property or taking care of the garden. When guests arrive, we just give them their keys and tell them where to find a good meal. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most people find us because they are driving by or someone told them about us. The air up here is fresh and that is the main reason people come anyway. We just provide a roof over their heads and a place to rest. It is a straightforward life. We are not trying to be anything other than a local place to stay. If the geyser takes a minute to heat up, we just tell the guests to wait a bit.
