Putta Shree Leathers Pvt Ltd is located over at the Apiic Industrial Estate, right in G D Nellore Village. We have quite a bit of space there, taking up plots nineteen through twenty-two. Being out here in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh means we are close to where a lot of the work happens. It is a dusty area, and the sun gets pretty intense during the summer months, but we are used to it by now. The facility is where all the processing happens. We handle leather, which is a tough job and involves a lot of manual labor and specific steps that can't really be rushed. It smells like a tannery, which I guess is expected. We have been here for a while, and most of the folks working here are from the nearby villages. It’s a local operation in that sense. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or office furniture because the factory floor is where everything actually happens. There is always a lot of movement, trucks coming in with raw materials and leaving with finished goods. It gets loud with the machinery running all day. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the leather is handled right before it goes out. It’s a practical business, nothing too complicated about it, just a lot of daily grind to keep things moving along. We like being part of the industrial community here in Chittoor and just getting the day's work done.
