Safiq Cement

Over at 7-2-629 in Jagjeevan Ram Nagar, that’s where you’ll find Safiq Cement. We’ve been working out of this spot in Yadgir for a good bit of time. The yard is usually covered in a fine layer of dust, which is just how it goes when you’re moving cement bags all day. It’s physical work and it keeps us tired by the time evening rolls around. We have a small crew here, mostly guys from the local neighborhood. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just Safiq and a few others making sure the supply stays steady for the local builders. Jagjeevan Ram Nagar is a busy residential area, so we have to be careful when the big trucks are backing in so they don't block the road for too long. We’ve got a rhythm down now. The bags come in, we stack them, and then they go out again to various construction sites around Yadgir. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the monsoon rains start and we have to make sure everything stays dry under the heavy tarps. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We sell cement and we try to be fair with everyone who walks through the gate. It’s a simple trade that’s been around forever. We’re just happy to be a part of the community here and keep the business running as best we can.
