Our place is out on Vasanda Road in Bilpudi. It’s not too far from the Egmore Railway Station, so you can always hear the trains coming and going throughout the day. That noise just becomes part of the background after a week of working here. We handle quite a bit of cement coming through, and the trucks are constantly lining up on the road. It gets a bit chaotic when three or four arrive at once, but we manage. The office isn't anything special, just a few desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. We spend most of our time out on the floor or checking the loading area. The weather in Bilpudi can get really hot, so we try to get the heavy work done before the sun is directly overhead. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the business. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other's families. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's more about making sure the bags are stacked right so they don't fall over. If the railway station is busy, the traffic on Vasanda Road gets backed up, which can be a real headache for our drivers. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the inventory. It's simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. Most people know us by word of mouth.
