New Hollyhock School

We’ve been running New Hollyhock School here in Rainbow Colony for a while now. The school is tucked away at Sf No 735/2 in the Sugunapuram area, which is part of Mylkal in Kunniyamuthur. It’s not a huge place, just a regular building where we do our work every day. Most of us here are locals from around Coimbatore. The mornings are usually the busiest part of the day when everyone arrives. We spend most of our time in the classrooms or out in the small yard. It can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but that’s just how it is here. We have a few fans in each room to keep the air moving because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Sometimes the gate squeaks when it opens, and we keep saying we’ll oil it, but we forget. We aren't doing anything fancy here. It's just a place where kids come to learn their lessons. We have some old desks and a few blackboards that have seen better days. The street outside is mostly quiet, except for the occasional scooter or delivery truck passing by. We know most of the neighbors by name. It’s a simple setup we’ve got going. There’s a small office where we keep the registers and papers. We usually finish up by the late afternoon and head home like everyone else. It’s just a normal school life for us in this part of town.
