Nav Shakti High School, Sitamau

We are located at No.21/21, Cauvery Nagar, which is in the Kunniyamuthur area of Coimbatore. Even though the name mentions Sitamau, this is where our physical building is. It is a residential neighborhood, so it feels quite safe and familiar for the kids who come here. The school building is a modest one, nestled among the houses and small shops of Cauvery Nagar. We have a small gate that stays open in the morning and a playground that is mostly dirt and some patches of grass. The high school years are a big deal, so things are usually a bit serious in the classrooms. We have teachers who have been with us for a long time, and they know most of the parents by their first names. It’s a very local operation. We don't have big flashy signs or expensive marketing brochures. Most people find out about us just by walking past or living nearby. The rooms are basic with benches and fans. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the building quite hard, so we use some curtains to keep the heat out. It’s a plain place, but it serves its purpose for the families around here. We just try to keep the kids disciplined and help them pass their classes without any unnecessary drama or complicated systems. It is a regular high school doing regular work every day for the local community.
