Tulsi Emporium

Tulsi Emporium is located right on Mahavir Marg in the Waluj MIDC area of Aurangabad. This part of the city is always moving because of all the factories and workers nearby. We opened up here because there wasn't much around for the people living in the staff quarters and local houses. We carry a bit of everything, mostly clothes and some household fabrics. You might find a good shirt or some curtains if you look through the piles. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is. My nephew helps me out in the afternoons when it gets busy. The dust from the industrial area is a constant battle, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. We aren't trying to be a big mall or anything fancy. We just want to provide decent stuff at prices that make sense for the people working around here. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the stools until it comes back. People stop by on their way home from their shifts at the plants. It’s a noisy street with trucks passing by all day, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We’ve seen Waluj change a lot since the beginning, but our little spot on Mahavir Marg stays pretty much the same. We like the regular faces we see and the stories they tell us about their work at the local factories.
