Zuba Care Foundation

Our place is located at No. 6/113 on Kodampakkam High Road in West Mambalam. If you know Chennai, you know how busy this area gets. The noise from the traffic is constant, but you get used to it after a while. Zuba Care Foundation is run from a small space that we’ve made as comfortable as we can. We are not some big corporate entity with a huge budget. Most of what we do involves looking after people in the community who have been overlooked. The building is a bit old and the stairs are a little steep, but it serves us well enough. We have a few desks and some chairs where people can sit and wait. Often, we are just busy with phone calls or trying to coordinate with local volunteers. West Mambalam has a lot of heart, and we see that every day with the people who drop by. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just us doing care work because it needs to be done. Sometimes we run out of tea or the electricity acts up, but we just keep going. The work isn't glamorous and it definitely isn't easy, but it feels right to be here on the high road where everyone can reach us. We try to keep things simple and practical. There’s no point in making things more complicated than they already are for people.
