Gnanavelli Aanandha Peedam Trusts

Our place is at Number 3 Kannadasan Street. It’s tucked away in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, which is part of the Alapakkam area. It’s a quiet residential street for the most part, though you get the occasional loud motorbike or delivery truck passing by. The building is simple, just a regular house that we use for the Gnanavelli Aanandha Peedam Trusts. We have a small porch where people sometimes sit and wait if we are busy inside. The main room is where everything happens, with a few mats on the floor and some wooden benches against the walls. It smells a bit like incense most of the time. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just what we need to get through the day. The walls are decorated with some old photos and some calendars from previous years that nobody bothered to take down. We usually have the front door open to let the air in. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play out front and it gets a bit noisy, but we are used to it by now. It’s a very humble setup. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who take turns being here. We deal with a lot of paperwork and people coming in to ask questions about the trust. It’s a steady pace, nothing too rushed. We just try to keep things running smoothly and help out where we can. It’s a local spot for local people.
