Vijayan & Company

Vijayan & Company is over at 19, Madambakkam, in the Sri Maruthi Nagar area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s fairly quiet except for the occasional street vendor or school bus. We have a small office that used to be part of a house, so it feels very cozy and lived-in. There are plants near the entrance that we try to keep alive, though the heat makes it difficult. Inside, there are stacks of files and a couple of old computers that take a while to start up in the morning. We don't have a big corporate team. It’s just Vijayan and a couple of assistants who handle everything. We’ve been here since Sri Maruthi Nagar was much smaller than it is today. We’ve seen the roads get paved and new houses go up all around us. Our work is pretty straightforward, and we don't spend much time on fancy presentations or meetings. We mostly talk to our clients over the phone or they just drop by for a chat. There is a small tea shop around the corner where we go when we need to stretch our legs. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, and we don't feel the need to rush things. We like the pace of life here in Madambakkam. It’s a good place to run a business without too much stress or fuss. That is basically how we work.
