Veeyes Charities Foundation

We are tucked away at 3 West Side House, which is right by the Adyar Club Gate Road in R A Puram. It is actually a nice area with quite a bit of greenery around the gate. We have been here for a bit now, and the location is probably the best thing about the office. It is quiet enough that we can actually hear ourselves think, which isn't always the case in this city. The building is an older house structure, so it has that lived-in feeling. We are not some big company with a glass building. We just have a few rooms where we keep our things and do our work. Some days are busier than others, especially when we have a lot of visitors coming through. We usually have the windows open when the breeze is good, though the dust can be a bit much. There are a few trees outside that give some nice shade during the hottest parts of the day. We are just a small group of staff members who have known each other for a long time. We don't really have a big formal structure. Whoever is free handles the phone or the door. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of our chores. It is a very grounded way to work. We like being in R A Puram because it feels like a real community.
