Unique Marine

If you find yourself on Thambu Chetty Street, you’ll likely see us near the Indian Bank branch in Mannady. We’ve been at number 86 for a while now, and it’s a decent spot for a place like Unique Marine. The street is usually full of life, with people rushing to the bank or grabbing something from the shops nearby. We handle marine related things, which usually means a lot of paperwork and checking on schedules. It’s not the most exciting work in the world, but it needs doing. Our space is tucked in there next to the bank, so it’s easy to find if you’re looking for us. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of employees. It’s a smaller group of us who know each other and know the business. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. If you need something, you come in and ask, and we see if we can help out. The air is often a bit salty because we aren't too far from the water, which fits the name, I guess. We spend most of the day on the phone or looking at files. It’s a practical way to earn a living. Sometimes it gets a little cramped when things get busy, but we manage. No one here is looking for fame, just trying to keep the business moving and the accounts straight.
