If you go to Spencer Plaza on Mount Road, you can find us on the 7th floor in room 715 A. That’s where Thiramai Llp is based. Being in such a well-known building on Anna Salai is interesting because there are so many different kinds of businesses around us. Our office is a simple place. We haven’t spent much on decorations because we’re usually too busy with our work to notice the walls. It’s a small team of us here. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals printed out. We just know what needs to be finished by the end of the week and we try to get it done. The elevators in Spencer Plaza can be a bit slow during lunch, so we’ve learned to be patient. We enjoy being in the heart of the city, even if the traffic on Mount Road is a headache most afternoons. We don't have a receptionist, so if someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door says hello. It’s very informal. We use plain English and don’t bother with business jargon that nobody really understands anyway. We’re just a group of people who decided to work together in this space. It’s practical and it serves us well enough. Most of our day is spent quietly working, with the occasional break to chat about nothing in particular before we head back to our desks.
