Techno Drives & Controls

Techno Drives & Controls is tucked away at 14/40, Bheemana Garden Street in Alwarpet. It is one of those spots in Chennai where the streets can get a bit narrow when the morning traffic starts picking up. Most of the folks working here have been around for a long time, so we just sort of know how the day is going to go before it even starts. We spend most of our time dealing with drives and various control systems, which basically means a lot of technical talk and looking at panels. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we can get the work done without too much noise. Sometimes the power acts up or it gets a bit too humid, but that is just part of being in Alwarpet. We usually grab tea from the shop down the road around four. It is a quiet operation mostly. We don't have a big flashy sign or anything like that. People who need us usually know where to find the building. We just focus on the hardware and making sure the settings are right on whatever equipment comes through the door. It gets dusty sometimes with all the parts lying around, but we try to keep things organized enough to find the tools we need. There is no big corporate ladder here, just a few of us trying to make sure the controls work like they are supposed to before the day ends.
