Sunshine Aquarium

Sunshine Aquarium is located right on South Mada Street in Kolathur, at number 32/24. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s basically the heart of the fish trade. Our place is full of tanks, and the sound of bubbling water is something we hear even when we go home at night. It’s a damp kind of job, always cleaning out glass or checking the filters to make sure everything is running right. We spend a lot of time talking to people who are just starting out with a small bowl or those who have massive tanks at home. There’s no big corporate vibe here; it’s just us surrounded by bags of fish food and different kinds of gravel. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on weekends, and it can get a little messy with water spills on the floor. We don't really use fancy scripts when people ask questions. We just tell them what we know from years of keeping fish alive. Kolathur is a busy area, and South Mada Street always has something going on. We see a lot of the same faces coming in for supplies every month. It’s a lot of work to keep the tanks looking okay, and it’s not always pretty, but it’s what we do. We just keep the water flowing and the fish fed, day in and day out, right here in the neighborhood.
