Srimathilakshmi Charities Foundation

Our small team operates out of No 5 Lakshmi Nivasdr in the Subbarayan Nagar area of Kodambakkam. Srimathilakshmi Charities Foundation is the name on our paperwork. We've been in this neighborhood for years and decided to set this up to keep our charitable activities organized. It’s not a large operation by any means. We work from a couple of rooms in the house. It's comfortable and quiet most of the time. We aren't trying to be the biggest group in Chennai. We just want to do our part with what we have. People sometimes stop by to ask questions or just to say hello. Since we are based in a residential area, we try to keep things low-key. We don't have a big fancy sign outside. The foundation is run by people who live here and care about the local community. We spend our time managing various projects and making sure things are running smoothly. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, honestly. But it feels good to have a purpose. Subbarayan Nagar is a friendly place to be. We are grateful for the support from our neighbors. We don't have a lot of corporate rules. We just talk to people and see what needs to be done. It's a practical way to live. We’ve found that being reachable and local makes a big difference in how we interact with others. Most of our days are spent right here at Lakshmi Nivasdr, working on whatever comes our way. It is simple but good.
