Sri Ramachandra Iyer Centenary Foundation

Our office for the Sri Ramachandra Iyer Centenary Foundation is at No 5 Lakshmi Nivas, over in Dr Subbarayan Nagar. This is in Kodambakkam, so it is quite central for most people to get to. The foundation was set up to keep a certain legacy going, and we take that quite seriously even if our office is just a plain, simple room. We have been at this address for a good while, and the building itself is quite familiar to the folks living on this street. We don't spend money on fancy signs or expensive furniture. We would rather just get the work done. A lot of our day involves looking at old records and making sure we are staying on track with what the foundation is supposed to be doing. It can be a bit quiet some days, especially when the weather is really muggy and no one wants to be out on the streets. We have a couple of ceiling fans that do their best to keep us cool while we work. We aren't trying to be some big, polished organization. We are just local people working in a local office. If you walk past No 5, you might see us through the window or hear us talking about the latest paperwork. It is a straightforward way of living and working, and that is exactly how we like it to stay for now.
