We are located inside the Madhukar Complex at No. 8 Narayana Mudali Street. If you know this area, you know how packed and busy Narayana Mudali Street can get. Our shop is filled to the ceiling with stationery. We have everything from basic pencils to big ledger books and stacks of photocopy paper. It’s a very old-school way of doing things here. The aisles are narrow because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the space we have. It can be quite a struggle to find a specific pen if we haven't put it away properly, but we usually know the general pile it’s in. The complex itself is always humming with people moving boxes and shouting to each other. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that push the warm air around. Most of our day is spent helping people who need supplies for their schools or small offices nearby. We write out all our bills by hand on a small pad. It’s a dusty, busy environment, and by the end of the day, our hands are usually stained with blue or black ink. We’ve been in this complex for a long time, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we just keep selling our papers and pens in our small corner of the building. It is a bit of a squeeze but it works for us.
