Running A Stationery Shop

The shop is located at F/3 Ganesh Flats, on 5/A Yadaval Street in Virugambakkam, Chennai. We literally call it Running A Stationery Shop because that is exactly what we do every day. It’s a small space, but we try to cram in as many notebooks, pens, and pencils as we can. Living in Chennai, you get used to the heat, so we always have the fan running for the customers who stop by. We get a lot of school kids from the neighborhood who need last-minute supplies for their classes. It’s nice to see the same faces coming in day after day. We also have things like staplers, glue, and chart papers for office work. Yadaval Street is a typical local street, sometimes a bit narrow and crowded with parked scooters. Finding our shop inside the Ganesh Flats is pretty easy once you get to the right door. We don't have any big neon signs or anything like that. It’s just a counter and shelves full of stuff. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just organizing the stock or helping someone find a specific kind of pen they like. It’s a quiet way to spend the day, and we like being the place where people come for their basic needs. We don't try to be a big supermarket, just a handy little corner shop for the local folks who live nearby.
