Southern Engg Corporation is located at No.12-B on Errabalu Chetty Street. We are quite near Broadway, which is one of the oldest and busiest parts of the city. Being in this area means we are surrounded by old buildings and very narrow streets that are always packed with people and carts. Our place at No.12-B is packed with engineering supplies from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes and parts tucked away in every corner. We don't have a big showroom; it’s more of a warehouse feel where we know exactly where every bolt and valve is hidden. The noise from the street outside never really stops, and you can hear the vendors calling out all day long. We’ve been in this spot for years, and the walls are a bit stained and the ceiling is high and dark. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to this street for decades to find specific parts they can't get elsewhere. We spend our time checking inventory and making sure we have what people ask for. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting isn't the best, but we like being in the heart of the trade area. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything in such a small space, but we manage. Sometimes the heat in these old buildings is tough, but the ceiling fans help a little as we go about our work.
