We are situated on 19th Street in Kamaraj Nagar, right in the Thiruvanmiyur part of Chennai. The building is No. 14/1 and it is a place where something is always happening at all hours of the day or night. Being a multispeciality hospital means we have different things going on at once, from people coming in for quick checkups to others staying over for a few nights. The street outside is a bit narrow, so parking can be a real struggle sometimes if you don't find a spot early in the morning. We have nurses and staff moving around constantly, and the smell of floor cleaner is something you just get used to after ten minutes of being here. It is a local hospital for the people living nearby in Kamaraj Nagar, so we see a lot of familiar faces from the neighborhood. Some of the equipment we use is a bit older, but it works fine for what we need to do. The reception desk is usually the busiest place where everyone is trying to get their questions answered at the same time. We don't have any big corporate banners or anything like that; it is just a plain building where we provide medical help. During the monsoon season, the street can get a little flooded, but we stay open regardless. It’s a job that keeps us on our feet all day.
