Sethubandhanam Welfare Foundation

Our office is in Royapettah, Chennai, specifically on Lloyds Road. We’re at New No.185, which used to be No.107. People still get confused by the old numbers, so we usually just tell them to look for the building near the corner. We go by the name Sethubandhanam Welfare Foundation. It’s not a big, fancy operation. We don't have a front desk or anyone to greet you. Usually, one of us just looks up from our desk when someone walks in. We do various kinds of welfare work around the neighborhood. It’s mostly simple stuff like helping out folks who are struggling or organizing small events for the community. Royapettah is a busy, old part of the city, and we like being right in the thick of it. Our office is a bit worn out, with some old furniture and walls that could use some help, but it suits us fine. We aren't here to look corporate or polished. We’re just local people who wanted to do something useful for our neighbors. We don't have a big budget or any promotional brochures. Word of mouth is how most people find us. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just show up every day, see what needs to be done, and try to get it finished. It’s honest, practical work and we’re happy to be doing it here on Lloyds Road.
