Seed Save Foundation

We've been out here in Jeeyapuram village for a bit now. Our spot is at 3/187 Vellalartheru, right in the heart of the area. It’s a quiet place, mostly just fields and local folks doing their thing. We spend a lot of time looking at different types of seeds and trying to make sure the old ones don't just disappear. Sometimes the weather is tricky, but we keep at it because it feels like the right thing to do for the land around Thiruchendurai. Most days you’ll find one of us sorting through bags or talking to farmers about what they’re planting this season. It isn't anything fancy. We just have a small space where we keep everything organized. It gets a bit dusty in the summer, but that’s just how it is here. People stop by to ask questions or sometimes they bring us something they found in their backyard. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just a simple setup where we can work and keep the seeds safe from the damp. If you're walking down the street, you'll see us. We’ve lived here a long time, so we know the soil pretty well. It's just us trying to keep things going one season at a time. Nothing more to it really. It’s hard work, but we like it well enough. We just take it day by day and try to stay useful.
