Veerammal Traders

We operate Veerammal Traders out of No. 2/11 on Thiruvallur High Road in Redhills. If you know the area, you know how much traffic there is with all the big lorries moving through. Our building is right in the middle of all that activity. We deal with various goods, mostly moving stuff in bulk. The morning starts with unloading whatever arrived overnight. It is a lot of physical work, lifting crates and moving pallets around the floor. We have a small office tucked in the back where the ledgers and the computer stay. It’s a bit cramped and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything. People just walk in through the main gate and find us. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and making sure the deliveries are on schedule. The air is often filled with the smell of diesel from the road and the dust from the warehouse. We take our breaks when we can, usually just sitting on some crates with a cold drink. It’s a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. We’ve been in Redhills for a good bit now and we know the other traders nearby. We just focus on getting the inventory right and making sure the trucks are loaded properly before they head out onto the highway for their next destination.
