Rajendra Gift Collections

So we are over here at 6 Krishna Iyer Street. If you know the Saidapet area in Sowcarpet, you know how crowded it gets. George Town is always moving. We have been running Rajendra Gift Collections from this spot for a while now. It is just a shop filled with all sorts of things people like to give as presents. Sometimes the boxes pile up near the door and we have to move them just to let people walk inside. It gets pretty dusty with all the traffic outside but we try to keep the shelves clean. We spend most of the morning just unpacking new stock and checking if anything broke during the delivery. People come in looking for something for a wedding or maybe a birthday and we just help them find what is on the shelf. It is not a very big place but we make it work. Most days it is just us talking to the regulars who live around here. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. Just lots of items tucked into corners. The street outside is usually full of rickshaws and people shouting, so it is never really quiet here. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever needs a gift to stop by. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there with a hand fan until it comes back on. That is just how it is in this part of town.
