Our place is on Sanjeevi Street in Arumbakkam. The number on the door is 10, though some older records still say 53. It’s a residential-feeling street, which is nice because it’s not as loud as the main highway nearby. Prof. R. Sundaravadivelu Advisory Services Private Limited is basically a small team of us working out of this space. We focus on advisory work, which involves a lot of reading and technical stuff. The Professor has a lot of experience, so there are books and papers everywhere. It feels more like a private study than a corporate office. We don't have those fancy glass partitions or neon lights. It’s just wooden tables and some old chairs. We get a lot of mail and documents delivered here. Sometimes the courier gets lost because of the street layout, but we’re usually around to wave them down from the gate. Arumbakkam is a decent place to be in Chennai. It’s central enough that people can reach us without too much trouble. We don’t do much advertising at all. We mostly just talk to people who have specific problems they need help with. It’s a quiet life of looking at plans and data. We take our breaks when we can. Usually, someone brings in snacks from the local bakery down the road. It’s not a high-pressure environment, just steady. We like it that way. No one is rushing around trying to look busy; we just do the work.
