Premier Test- Cal Systems

Premier Test- Cal Systems is tucked away on the second floor of a building at No.33 Mookathal Street. Being in Purasaiwakkam means the street outside is usually full of people and noise, but once you come up the stairs, things get a bit quieter. We focus on calibration and testing equipment, which means we spend a lot of time looking at needles on gauges and numbers on screens. It is the kind of work that requires a lot of sitting still and being patient. The office isn't very big, so we have to keep everything organized on the shelves, or we’d never find the tools we need. We get a lot of different instruments sent to us from factories that need to know if their readings are still accurate. Some of the stuff is old and battered, while other things look brand new. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone in a suit; it’s just us here making sure the measurements are right. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the local shops nearby know us well. It’s mostly about checking sensors and writing down figures in ledgers. We don't have a flashy lobby, just a desk and a lot of technical manuals stacked up against the wall. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the task in front of us until the day ends.
