P.G. Sivakumar & Associates

Our office is over in Velachery, specifically at 682, Flat-1 in the Preethi Apartments on 1st Main Road. It’s in the Baby Nagar Extension area, which is a nice residential part of town. P.G. Sivakumar & Associates is run out of this apartment, so it doesn't feel like a cold corporate building at all. It feels more like a home, which we actually prefer. We’ve got our files and computers set up, and there’s usually a pot of tea going somewhere. We aren't a big firm with dozens of associates. It’s a small, dedicated group of us. We spend a lot of time working through details and making sure everything is in order. It’s quiet enough here that we can actually get things done without too many distractions. People who come to see us usually live in the area or have heard about us from a neighbor. We don't do much in the way of big marketing campaigns. We just focus on the work in front of us. Sometimes the apartment gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of documents, but we manage. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We don't have a receptionist in a uniform. You just come in and talk to whoever is available. The balcony has a few dried-up plants, but the inside of the office is where the real work happens. We keep the curtains drawn most of the day to keep the sun out. It’s a very local way of doing things.
