Pelican Equipment

If you find yourself on Burkit Road in T. Nagar, you'll see a lot of shops and people moving fast. Pelican Equipment is right there on the second floor. Climbing those stairs every morning is a bit of a workout, especially when we have to carry small parts up and down. T. Nagar is always noisy, and you can hear the horns from the street even when the windows are shut. Our office isn't large. It’s mostly filled with boxes and some desks pushed against the walls. We handle various equipment here, so there is always something being opened or packed. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief given how hot Chennai gets. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific tool, it might take a minute to find under the stacks of paperwork. Lunch is usually a quick affair from one of the nearby stalls. We’ve been in this building for some time now, so we know the neighbors pretty well. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend much on decorations because we are usually too busy with the orders coming in. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or talk about the cricket score. It is just a regular workplace doing regular work on Burkit Road.
