Paterson Cancer Center

Paterson Cancer Center is located at 175, N S K Salai. We are actually tucked inside the Vijaya Health Centre premises in Vadapalani. It’s a big medical campus, so it can be a bit confusing for people finding us the first time, but once they see the sign, they get there eventually. The atmosphere here is different than a regular clinic. It’s quieter, more serious, as you’d expect for a place dealing with cancer. We spend our days moving between the different rooms, checking on patients and looking over reports. The building itself has that standard hospital feel, with long hallways and that specific smell of cleaning supplies that hits you when you walk in. Being in Vadapalani means there is always traffic outside on the main road, but inside the health centre, it stays relatively calm most of the time. We have a team of people here, from doctors to nurses and the folks at the front desk. Everyone has their job to do, and we just focus on getting through the daily list of patients who need our help. It’s not the kind of place where you see a lot of flashy stuff or expensive art on the walls. It’s all about the medical equipment and the chairs where patients sit for their treatments. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks more than we like. It’s a heavy job, but we just take it one person at a time.
