Cancer Intitute

The Cancer Intitute sits at No- 38 Sardar Patel Road. It’s a busy place and you can see people coming in from all over the state every morning. The building has been there for years, and it shows in some of the hallways, but it’s a solid structure. We spend our days going through files and making sure the clinics are ready for the patients who arrive early. Sardar Patel Road is always packed with cars, so the noise from the street carries into the front lobby. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of footsteps and low talking. We have a lot of different departments spread across the grounds. It can be a bit confusing to find your way around if you are new here. The staff just does their work quietly. There are nurses, doctors, and helpers always moving about. We don't have any big advertisements on the walls, just some signs showing the way to different wards. The work we do here is quite serious, so the atmosphere is usually pretty calm. Sometimes the waiting rooms get very full, and we have to manage the space as best as we can. It’s a long day for everyone involved, starting before the sun is up and often going on well into the night. We just keep the place running because people depend on it being open every day of the week. It’s a responsibility that we take very seriously every day that we come in.
