Our office is tucked away in the basement of a building on Nungambakkam High Road. It is Door Number 6, but you have to go down into Room 2 to find us. Being in a basement means we don't get much of a view, but it stays a bit cooler when the Chennai sun is beating down outside. The first lane is always packed with bikes and people rushing to work. It can be a bit tricky to find us the first time because the signs outside aren't very big. Inside, it's just a couple of rooms where we manage everything. We deal with health-related supplies and paperwork mostly. There are stacks of files and boxes that seem to grow every week. We try to keep things moving, though it gets a bit cramped when several people come in at once. It’s a busy spot, right in the heart of the city, so there is always noise from the traffic above. We have a small kettle for tea which is the most important thing in the office. It isn't a glamorous setup, just a functional space where we get through the daily tasks. We spend a lot of time on the computer or checking the inventory in the back. It works for us, and we have been in this spot for a while now. Some days are slower than others.
