Our office is up on the second floor of Cisons Complex on Montieth Road. It’s a bit of an older building, but it has some character. You have to take the stairs or the small lift to get to number 10. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The space is filled with old files and bits of engineering equipment we’ve picked up over the years. It’s not the most modern-looking place, but it’s where we do our thinking. We deal with fireproofing and specialty coatings, which sounds complicated but it's just what we do. The traffic on Montieth Road can be a nightmare in the evenings. We usually wait for it to die down before heading home. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in this business, so the desks are always buried under stacks of paper. We aren't a big corporate giant with hundreds of employees. We’re just a group of people who know their trade. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling sound, but we just ignore it. We have our regulars who come in to discuss their projects over a cup of coffee. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We don't have fancy brochures or anything. We just talk to people and figure out what they need. It’s straightforward. No fuss, no complications. We just keep moving forward with the work we have. Anyway, it keeps us busy enough for now.
