Hermes Engineering Division(A Unit Of Hermes Chem Impex (P) Ltd.,)

We are the Hermes Engineering Division, and we operate out of Sp-144 on the First Main Road in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. We are technically a unit of Hermes Chem Impex (P) Ltd., but most people around here just know us as the engineering group at this address. Ambattur is a massive area for industry, and being on the First Main Road makes it easy for us to get around. We have a lot of space here, which is good because we have some heavy equipment that takes up room. Our daily routine is pretty basic. We show up, check the schedule, and start on the engineering tasks for the day. There is no polish to our office; it’s mostly just desks and technical drawings and bits of metal. We don’t spend much time worrying about how things look. We just want to make sure the work is done properly. Sometimes we have to deal with the typical industrial estate problems like water issues or traffic jams at the main gates, but we just take it as it comes. We’re a practical group of people. We don’t talk much about things like innovation; we just focus on the job at hand. Being part of a larger company means there is some paperwork, but we try to keep that to a minimum so we can stay on the shop floor. It's just what we do here in Ambattur, day after day, and we are fine with it.
