Saraswathi Musicals Traders

We are located on Evening Bazar Road over in Park Town. Our shop, Saraswathi Musicals Traders, is at No. 4/6. It’s a place where we keep a variety of instruments and musical items. The area is usually quite busy, especially in the evenings when people are out and about doing their shopping. We aren't a huge showroom with bright lights and fancy glass displays. It’s more of a traditional shop where things are stacked up and you have to look around a bit to find exactly what you want. We’ve been here in the Nazarathpettai area for a long time, and we’ve seen a lot of musicians come and go. Some are just starting out and need something cheap to practice on, while others have been playing for many years and know exactly what they are looking for. We like talking about music with anyone who walks in, though we aren't always experts on every single thing we sell. The shop can be a bit dusty sometimes because of all the traffic on the road outside, but we try to keep the instruments in good shape. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so it’s usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We don't do much online stuff or social media; we prefer when people actually come in and see what they are buying. It feels more real and honest that way. It’s a simple life, surrounded by music and regular people.
